Our Core Values

We Value:

1. THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. Therefore, we are committed to the preaching and teaching of the Scriptures through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This is essential for equipping and transforming the lives of the believer, and the salvation of sinners. (2 Tim 3:16; Jn 6:63; 1 Cor 2:4)

2. PRAYER

We believe that our church is, and should be a house of prayer (Matt. 21:13). This is the furnace room of the fire of God. Our goal is to bathe everything in prayer. Therefore, the ministries and activities of our church will be characterized by a reliance on prayer in their conception, planning, and execution. (Phil 4:6; Eph 6:18; Rom 8:26; 1 Tim 2: 1-4: 1 Th 5:17; Jam 5:16)

3. EXCELLENCE

We believe that excellence honors God. The God of our salvation deserves the best we have to offer. Therefore, we are committed to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence that honors God in all that we do with special emphasis placed upon worship and the appearance of God’s house. (Col 3:23)

4. WORSHIP

We believe that quality, Spirit filled worship intimately connects us to God. Worship is the heartbeat of our church. Every individual is free to worship God as they are led by the Holy Spirit. The worship of God is threaded into the fiber and culture of all that we do. Therefore, we believe that worship is the catalyst and threshold to a life changing move of God. (Ps 29:2: Ps 150; Ps 95:6; Isa 25:1; Joh 4:23-24; Rev 5:13)

5. BIBLE KNOWLEDGE

We believe that Bible knowledge is the gateway to the heart, will, and mind of the Triune God. If we want to know God and know how to live a godly life, we must know the Bible.

We affirm that a confession of the full authority, infallibility, and inerrancy of Scripture is vital to a sound understanding of the whole of the Christian faith. We further affirm that such confession should lead to increasing conformity to the image of Christ. Therefore, we value hearing, reading, studying, memorizing, meditating upon, and applying God’s Word to our lives. (Hos 4:6-7; Pro 1:5; 2 Tim 3:16; Heb 4:12)

6. LOST PEOPLE

We believe that lost and unchurched people matter to God, therefore, it matters to our church. We value all people because all people need grace and forgiveness for sin, especially the lost; therefore, we value intentional evangelism as commanded by Jesus Christ to share the way of reconciliation between God and man. Everyone in our fellowship is accountable and responsible for the evangelism and intercession for the lost. (Pro 11:30: Mt 28:19-20; Mk 16:15; Lu 14:23; Jam 5:20)

7. OBEDIENCE

We Believe that obedience demonstrates a willingness to accomplish and maintain the purpose of God for our church. Obedience keeps us in the will of God while encouraging a culture of holiness, leadership structure, submissiveness to God’s word, and faithfulness in our church attendance. Therefore, we are committed to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and His guidance for our church. (1 Sam 15:22; Isa 1:19; Mat 7:21; Lk 6:46; Jn 14:15; Jn 14:21; Rom 6:16; Jam 1:22)

8. FELLOWSHIP

We Believe that fellowship among our people is a replica of our relationship with God; refreshing, encouraging, and a promotion of unity. We are created in the image of the Triune God which makes us desire sociability. We believe that fellowship stimulates community, individual and corporate growth, the inclusion of all individuals, servanthood, and seasons of relaxation and fun. Therefore, we are committed to the intentional production of regular fellowship gatherings which may include the church as a whole, or, within small group settings. (Ec 2:24; Ec 3:13; Ec 4:9-12; Pr 15:13; Pr 17:22; Pr 27:17; Rom 1:12; 1 Th 5:11; 1 Pe 3:8; 1 Jo 1:3)
