Smithville Extreme Youth exists to bring the gospel of Christ to all ages. We are excited to connect kids, pre-teens, teens, and their families to the knowledge of God’s Holy Word.
In the Extreme Youth, any pre-teen and teen between the ages of 10-18 will learn how to connect to each other and learn how to grow in a much deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We teach each student how to have compassion for the lost how to lead others to Christ.
We meet every Wednesday night we start at 7pm. We are excited to see what God is doing and we want you to be apart of the growth.
Janice McCathern
She’s a dedicated and faithful Church Youth Leader with 20 years’ experience and taught age 9 -12 junior class for 14 years. She was an active Foster Parent for 20 years and also sat on the state board for 6 years. She has a numerous amount of training certifications in various fields concerning children & teens and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Her passion has always been teaching & mentoring juniors & teens.
Her core qualification is and will always will be a strong belief in God and she believes youth can be excellent ambassadors for Christ.

Virginia Welch
For the past three years, sister Virginia has served as a dedicated children’s pastor, ministering to children ages 3-9. Her academic background in early childhood development equips her to provide a strong foundation in Christian faith and values.
